Last Updated: 16 April, 2026
1. Introduction
Spaceout (“we”, “us”, “the website”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled when you use Spaceout.
2. Overview
We are designed with privacy in mind:
  • No analytics or tracking tools are used
  • No personal accounts are required
  • No directly identifiable personal data is intentionally collected
3. Data Stored on Your Device
We use only essential cookies and local storage to operate the service.
This may include:
  • A randomly generated identifier and username to maintain your session
  • Basic preferences (such as starred or recently visited chats)
This data is:
  • Not used for tracking or advertising
  • Only used to provide core functionality
4. Data Stored on Our Servers
Messages
  • Messages sent in chat rooms are stored temporarily
  • Each chat room retains a limited number of recent messages
  • Messages older than approximately one year are automatically deleted
Usernames and Chat Rooms
  • Usernames and chat rooms are generated and managed automatically
  • They may be reused or released if no longer active
  • There is no guarantee that a username will remain reserved indefinitely
5. IP Addresses
IP addresses may be processed temporarily by us and our infrastructure providers (including Cloudflare) for:
  • Rate limiting
  • Preventing abuse
They are not used for tracking, profiling, or identifying users.
6. Purpose of Data Use
Data is used only to:
  • Provide and maintain the chat service
  • Enable chat functionality and navigation
  • Ensure stability and prevent misuse
7. Content Delivery and Security (Cloudflare)
We use Cloudflare, Inc. as a content delivery network (CDN) and security provider. Cloudflare helps protect the website from malicious traffic and DDoS attacks while also improving performance.
Cloudflare may process limited personal data such as IP addresses, request metadata, and security-related information for the purpose of security and service reliability. This processing is based on our legitimate interest in ensuring the security and availability of the service.
8. Third-Party Services (AI Features)
If you enable AI features in chats, messages you submit may be sent to a third-party AI service provider, OpenAI, to generate responses.
This data is used only to provide the AI functionality and is processed in accordance with the provider’s own privacy practices.
9. Data Retention
We retain user-specific data as follows:
  • Messages: up to one year or shorter depending on system limits
  • Device storage (cookies/local storage): until cleared by the user or browser
10. Your Rights
Because the service does not require identifiable accounts:
  • We generally cannot link data to a specific individual
  • We may not be able to modify or delete specific messages on request
You are responsible for managing any data stored on your own device (e.g., clearing cookies or local storage).
11. Important Notice About Public Chats
All chat rooms are publicly accessible:
  • Anyone can access a chat if they have or discover its link
  • Messages should be considered public
Do not share:
  • Personal information
  • Sensitive or confidential data
Use the service at your own discretion.
